VERY in depth, scientific explanations for how the brain works and interacts with your body, emotions, mind. This book seems more targeted to people that don’t know a ton about biology or psychology, that get overwhelmed with obstacles, and need help trying to think about how their brain is functioning and how they aren’t just helpless bystanders–they have the power to evolve as the title denotes.

The information in the book is sometimes dense and complex. We know the positive effects of it, but sometimes the author’s ideas I know it seems like this has had a positive impact on people’s lives, which is awesome, but for people that are already aware of the brain and neuroplasticity, this will be a bit dull and repetitive. It is difficult at first and requires our utmost attention but we eventually wire our brain so that no conscious thought is necessary other than to decide to ride the bike.

Want to Read Currently Reading Read. The book explores some very interesting and inspiring aspects of mind, brain and neuroplasticity. Emotions feel automatic to us; that’s why scientists have long assumed that emotions are hardwired in yuor body or the brain.

I kept waiting for more information on how to use the information in a practical manner but it didn’t really seem to divulge much toward that end.

What a great in depth book about how our brain creates the mind and what kind of changes then occur.


This book is an cispenza combination of scientific research, real story and self help tools that author put together. Even as adults we all still remember exactly where we stood in the high school social hierarchy, and the powerful emotions associated with our status persist decades later.


Overall this is a pretty interesting book. Becoming Supernatural marries the some of the most eevolve scientific information with ancient wisdom to show how people like you and me can experience a more mystical life. Language used is often hard and stuffed with technical words and lacks punctuality. In a nutshell, his book describes his own experiences with severe, life-altering injuries and pain, and how he learned to train his brain to function around the dislenza, allowing him to eventually overcome the injuries and regain full function of his body, much to the surprise of everyone who knew the extent of the injuries and the assumption that Dr.
